Family believe the shooter, who walked up and shot Johnson as she chatted with a group of people on a stoop, had followed her from a funeral in the neighborhood earlier that day, according to the Daily News.
“She was at a funeral earlier in the evening for an old neighborhood friend to pay her respects, and then this happened,” her brother, Mathis Johnson, told the outlet. “It was horrible. That lady executed my sister.”

Both the News and the New York Post have released surveillance video that shows the moment the woman came up and shot Johnson, who lived just a few blocks from where she was killed.
Johnson was described as a "beautiful person" and entrepreneur who worked hard to provide for her 17-year-old daughter, according to family.
There were no arrests in the shooting as of Friday.
