1 Firefighter Injured During 5-Alarm Fire At Queens Tire Shop: FDNY

QUEENS, NY — A five-alarm fire at a tire shop in Queens left one firefighter injured Tuesday, FDNY officials said.

Firefighters responded to a report of fire at 150-17 Liberty Avenue and 150th Street around 5:15 p.m., the FDNY said.

It initially started as a two-alarm fire but escalated to a five-alarm within two hours, FDNY officials said.

One firefighter suffered a minor injury, the FDNY said.

The fire was put under control at 8:52 p.m.
