28th Annual Golf Outing with The Home Depot

QCP and The Home Depot raises over $1.8 million to support children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Queens Centers for Progress (QCP) is proud to announce that the 28th Annual QCP/Home Depot Golf Outing, held on September 5, 2024, was a tremendous success, raising over $1.8 million to benefit the organization’s programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities. The highly anticipated event took place at four prestigious country clubs — Plandome, North Hempstead, Pine Hollow, and North Hills — drawing a passionate crowd of supporters, sponsors, and golf enthusiasts for a memorable day on the greens.

A highlight of the event was the live auction that took place during dinner, which featured several exclusive items and experiences, including a Costa Rica Villa for Four and Yankees vs. Red Sox tickets. Thanks to the generosity of the bidders and sponsors, this year’s auction was a success, further fueling QCP’s mission to provide life-changing programs and services.

“We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, donors, and participants for their unwavering support,” said Wendy Phaff-Gennaro, Director of Development at QCP. “The funds raised from this event go directly toward enhancing the quality of life for the people we serve, and we couldn’t do it without our community’s dedication.”

True to The Home Depot values, Mike gives back serving on various non-profit boards within Atlanta. Mike has served on Central OAC and was a founding member of Ripples of Hope. He currently serves on Atlanta Habitat for Humanity championing causes around homelessness and solutions to help end homelessness.

“It was a privilege to honor Mike Hibbison at this year’s outing,” said Terri Ross, Executive Director at QCP. “His dedication to our cause, combined with the incredible generosity of our supporters, has allowed us to continue offering critical programs at our Children’s Center and in our Adult Day Habilitation and Residential programs.”
