The NYPD, sanitation department, homeless services and the Queens District Attorney’s Office will be spearheading the task force.
Adams said crime and prostitution have plagued Roosevelt Avenue.
"We will end sex trafficking in this area. We are not here for one day and go away. We're here for the problem to go away," he said at a press conference.
The NYPD will send nine lieutenants, 42 sergeants and 176 police officers to patrol the area.
Similarly, Gov. Kathy Hochul deployed New York state troopers on Tuesday to help the NYPD along Roosevelt Avenue, according to a New York Post report.
