4 Injured After MTA Bus and Crane Truck Crash In Queens

QUEENS, NY — Four people were injured after an MTA bus collided with a crane in Queens on Tuesday, police said.

The incident happened around 7 a.m. near Springfield Boulevard and Amboy Lane, police said.

A Q88 bus was attempting to make a left turn onto Springfield Boulevard when it collided with an overland crane. The crane truck was going southbound on Springfield Boulevard, approaching the traffic light when the collision occurred.

A 46-year-old bus driver and three passengers were taken to a local hospital for minor injuries, police said.

The crane truck driver remained at the scene and refused medical attention, police said.
