Retired Police Officer Found Shot Dead In Her Car (UPDATES)
The victim was pronounced dead on arrival.

GLEN OAKS, QUEENS — Police and fire department officials responded to call that came in around 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday to find a retired police officer shot dead in her car at Union Turnpike and 246th Street, according to police.
The 56-year-old woman was found holding a gun in her hand with a bullet wound to her head and was pronounced dead on arrival. The wound appeared to be self-inflicted, an NYPD spokesman said.
