TSA Lets Cat Out Of The Bag — After JFK Traveler Packed It In Suitcase
According to the TSA, that's no way to treat a feline.

QUEENS — Queens airport workers let the cat out the bag, but not before it got shoved into a suitcase and sent through security, transit officials said Tuesday.
An x-ray machine at John F. Kennedy airport uncovered recently a furry, yellow, surprise for Transportation Security Administration agents who found someone had tried to pack their cat, TSA officials announced in a tweet.
"This CATch," the TSA tweeted, "had our baggage screening officers @JFKairport saying, “Come on meow”!"

Patch was unable to find out when agents discovered their "hisstoric" find (blame TSA for the pun, not us), but spokesperson Lisa Farbstein, in a tweet of her own, provided some added information.
According to Farbstein, the cat belonged to someone else in the suitcase owner's household.

“On the bright side, the cat’s out of the bag and safely back home," Farbstein tweeted.
JFK Airport did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Patch.
Many commenters expressed outrage, but one New York twitter user (who identifies herself as the wife of famous feline friend Curtis Sliwa) had questions.
Wrote @NancySliwaEsq, "I'm more intrigued why the only stuff this guy is bringing appears to be bottles of booze & flipflops [sic]."
