Charges Dropped Against Shia LaBeouf For Allegedly Assaulting Protester
The actor was arrested after allegedly fighting a protester.

QUEENS — Actor Shia LeBeouf has had charges against him dropped after he allegedly shoved a man at an anti-Trump art installation.
The Even Stevens and Transformers star was arrested outside Queens' Museum of the Moving Image on January 26. The museum was hosting LaBeouf's livestream video installation titled "HEWILLNOTDIVIDE.US."
LeBeouf allegedly got into a verbal dispute with another man, pulled his scarf and shoved him, scratching the man's face, according to police.

The man flagged down a passing patrol car and LaBeouf was arrested.
Assault and harassment charges against the actor were dropped Friday due to lack of evidence, a spokesman for Queens's district attorney said.

The livestream, which was meant to show people chanting "He will not divide us!" for the four years of Trump's presidency, was discontinued after the museum determined it was a "flashpoint for violence."
Footage from the livestream shows the actor getting cuffed as others continued to chant.
