Cocaine Party In Passengers' Pants Rages On At JFK, Officials Say
Another two passengers were arrested at JFK for attempting to smuggle cocaine in their pants.
JFK AIRPORT, QUEENS — There seems to be an epidemic of people trying to smuggle cocaine in their pants at JFK.
Customs and Border Protection agents at the airport found two passengers on the same flight from the Dominican Republic trying to smuggle the drug inside their pants this month.
Ariel Garcia arrived at JFK Airport on April 19 on a flight from San Domingo. He was taken to a search room where officials found packages strapped to the man's legs filled with 11 pounds of cocaine, according to Customs and Border Protection officials. The drug has an estimated street value of $180,000.

Elvin Montilla-Sosa, who was on the same flight, was also taken to a private search room where officers found packages taped to his legs and back. Montilla-Sosa had 12 pounds of cocaine worth $200,000, the officials said.
Another two men, Juan Carlos Galan Luperon and Mayobanex Ruiz Gomez, were arrested at the airport trying almost identical smuggling plots last month. They were also coming from the Dominican Republic.

CBP officers arrested Garcia and Montilla-Sosa and turned them over to the Department of Homeland Security. They face federal narcotics smuggling charges.
“This latest seizure demonstrates our CBP officers being ever vigilant in protecting the United States from the distribution of these illicit drugs,” said Leon Hayward, Acting Director of CBP’s New York Field Operations.
