Corona Man Convicted After Stabbing Guest At Christening Party: DA

A Queens man was convicted of murder three years after stabbing a guest at a baby's christening celebration in Corona, prosecutors said.

QUEENS – A Queens man was convicted of murder three years after stabbing a guest at a baby’s christening celebration in Corona, the Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced Wednesday.

Antonio Martinez, 50, was convicted of murder after stabbing Roque Alvarez-Montes, 22, in the chest on Sept. 29, 2019, at a baby’s christening party about 12:30 a.m. between 98th Street and 37th Avenue, prosecutors said.

Martinez faces up to life in prison, Katz said.
