QUEENS, NY — A 55-year-old man who was found dead under a bed and stuffed inside a garbage bag in a Queens apartment has been identified, police announced.
Police discovered the body of Jose Portillo in an apartment at 137-17 70th Avenue in Kew Gardens Hills around 5 p.m. Tuesday after being called to perform a welfare check.
The victim was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS, Patch previously reported.
