QUEENS, NY — A 55-year-old man was found dead under a bed and was stuffed inside a garbage bag in a Queens apartment Tuesday evening.

Police discovered the body in an apartment at 137-17 70th Avenue in Kew Gardens Hills around 5 p.m. after being called to perform a welfare check.

The victim was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

The city’s medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death.

Police were questioning two other people who lived in the apartment, but no charges had been filed as of Wednesday morning.
