Dognapper Takes Pet Shih Tzu From Queens Family's Yard, Police Say

A woman was caught on video stealing a white Shih Tzu dog from a fenced-in front yard.

QUEENS, NY – A dognapper snuck into the fenced yard of a Queens home, picked up a family's pet Shih Tzu and walked off, police said.

The woman grabbed the two-year-old dog from 97-04 on 37 Ave., in North Corona, just after 8 a.m., police said. She carried the animal east on 37 Avenue.

The NYPD released photos and video of the woman, who was caught snatching the dog on camera.
