Dunkin' Gives Away Free Donuts For JFK, LaGuardia Holiday Travelers

QUEENS, NY — Holiday air travel out of JFK and LaGuardia driving you nuts? Have a free doughnut.

Dunkin' Donuts is giving away free doughnuts Thursday for passengers headed through JetBlue terminals in the New York City area's three major airports.

"Spread Dunkin' holiday cheer," an ad for the giveaway states.

The day is December's busiest travel days, a report linked by Dunkin' states.

The entire holiday season is expected to be one of the busiest on record, said Transportation Security Administration officials.

TSA officials urge passengers to plan ahead and know what can be packed in a carry-on bag.

“Planning ahead and packing properly can facilitate the TSA security screening process and ease a passenger’s travel experience at the airport,” said Thomas Carter, the TSA's federal security director, in a statement.

Passengers are encouraged to pack gifts in bags or boxes, rather than being wrapped, in case they trigger an alarm.
