  1. With the price of eggs increasing across the country, more customers are flocking to a Queens farm for fresh eggs. Queens Farm, the largest remaining tract of undisturbed farmland in the city, has around 150 to 200 hens that can lay an egg a day, according to Hayden Cubas, director of marketing and external affairs for Queens County Farm Museum. The free-range, grain-fed eggs are sold at the farm store Wednesday through Sunday for $7. “We are invested in the community and want people to understand where their food comes from and issues of sustainability,” said Cubas. 2. On Tuesday morning, officials held a demonstration at LaGuardia Airport to demonstrate the proper way to screen pets at security checkpoints. According to an airport spokesperson, the demonstration was held because TSA is seeing “too many passengers place their pets in an X-ray unit at checkpoints.” Robert Duffy, TSA Federal Security Director for LaGuardia Airport warned that “One of the most important things to know is that pets should never be screened through a checkpoint X-ray unit.” Instead, travelers are advised to bring them in a hand-held travel carrier. 3. Police are looking for two men reportedly involved in a string of robberies across north Queens. The two men robbed four separate people in broad daylight on Sunday and Monday in the confines of four Queens precincts. On Feb. 13, NYPD released surveillance photos of the suspects and their car — a dark-colored SUV.
