QUEENS, NY — An FDNY lieutenant was arrested after drunkenly driving through Queens and refusing to take a breath test after he was pulled over, police said.

Chad Bonaventura, 48, faces a slew of charges from his late Thursday arrest, authorities said.

NYPD officials provided scant details about the incident itself, besides that it unfolded 11:40 p.m. in the 104th Precinct, which covers Ridgewood, Glendale, Middle Village and Maspeth.

But the charges leveled against Bonaventura give some hints about the accusations against him.

He faces charges of driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired by alcohol, moving from a lane unsafely, impeding traffic by driving too slow, alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway and refusal to take a breath test, police said.
