Fire In Long Island City Sends Plumes Of Smoke Into Air

No injuries were reported, the FDNY said.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A truck fire in Long Island City sent plumes of black smoke into the air Thursday, according to the FDNY and photos of the scene.

No injuries were reported, an FDNY spokesman said. The fire was on Queens Boulevard at Van Dam Street and started around 11.10 a.m.
