Flushing Man Convicted of Killing Friend Four Years Ago: DA
The defendant was convicted after killing Luis Angel Solis Apolonio, 29, on March 11, 2018, prosecutors said.
QUEENS – A man from Flushing was convicted of manslaughter after killing an acquaintance in 2018, the Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced Wednesday.
Marcos Anzurez, 34, was convicted of manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon after killing Luis Angel Solis Apolonio, 29, on March 11, 2018, prosecutors said.
Anzurez faces up to 25 years in prison, Katz said.

In March, Anzurez and Solis were arguing before both men started physically fighting, prosecutors said. A bystander separated the two men, but then Anzurez approached Solis and started stabbing and slashing him with a folding knife repeatedly, the district attorney's office said.
Solis suffered wounds in his neck, torso, and other extremities, causing his death, prosecutors said.
