Here are the top three stories today in Queens:
- A Brooklyn man attempted to sell off a Queens house after the homeowner's death, though the homeowner was still alive. Christopher Williams, 41, forged birth certificates and other documents claiming to be the owner of the Jamaica home. Williams faces several charges and is scheduled to appear in court in late July. - Queens residents are urged to donate blood at Borough Hall and in Laurelton to help during a blood shortage emergency. - Governor Hochul announced the start of an $83 million Safety Enhancement Project on the eastbound Long Island Expressway in Queens. It is part of the FY 2023 Enacted Budget's record $32.8 billion, five-year DOT Capital Plan to improve the state's roads, bridges, airports, and other transit systems.
