Free Immigration, Legal Services To Be Available In Flushing Library

The New York Legal Assistance Group's Mobile Legal Help Center will be offering free legal services on Jan. 6.

QUEENS — A van parked outside a library in Flushing will provide free legal services to Queens residents looking for immigration, housing, and consumer credit assistance on Friday.

The New York Legal Assistance Group’s Mobile Legal Help Center will be offering free legal services on Jan. 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mitchell-Linden branch of the Queens Public Library at 31-21 Union Turnpike.

The center will accept walk-ups, and no appointment is necessary.

“I urge any residents who need legal help to take advantage of this opportunity to get free advice from experienced lawyers,” said Council Member Sandra Ung.

New Yorkers can receive help on services related to immigration, citizenship, housing issues, public benefits, consumer credit, domestic violence, child custody issues, and discrimination or wage underpayment.
