Gunman Shoots Man In Jaw Near JFK Airport: NYPD

An as-yet-unidentified shooter ran off after the Monday night fracas just blocks from the international airport, police said.

QUEENS, NY — A gunman shot a man in the jaw during a fracas just blocks from JFK Airport, police said.

The Monday morning shooting unfolded after a 24-year-old man got into an argument with an as-yet-unidentified man near a Guy R. Brewer boulevard bodega, authorities said.

The fight boiled over to the point that the unidentified man pulled a gun and shot the 24-year-old in the left law, NYPD officials said. The gunman ran toward the west along 146th Terrace about 9:30 a.m., police said.

JFK International Airport is only a few blocks away from shooting.

The shooter is a man, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and appeared to be 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue and purple hoodie, black sweatpants, and red and white sneakers.
