JFK Airport Employee Caught With Loaded Handgun At Work: TSA
A man who worked at John F. Kennedy International Airport was arrested after he entered with a loaded handgun on Thursday, TSA said.

QUEENS — A man who worked at John F. Kennedy International Airport was arrested after he entered the airport with a loaded handgun on Thursday, according to the Transportation Security Administration.
The man, who worked at one of the retail shops, was caught by TSA officers with a .45 caliber handgun loaded with four bullets after he entered a security checkpoint, officials said.
The employee was arrested by Port Authority Police, and his security ID badge was confiscated, according to TSA.

TSA officers have caught six firearms at the airport’s checkpoints so far this year. In 2022, seven guns were removed from carry-on bags at the airport.
