Author Who Wrote About JFK Assassination Shot Dead In Queens: Reports

Bridgeport, Connecticut author Myron Dukes was fatally shot after a car crash in Flushing, according to police and reports.

QUEENS – An author from Bridgeport, Conn. who wrote about President John. F. Kennedy's assassination was shot dead after a car crash in Flushing Wednesday, according to police and news outlets.

The 48-year-old man was found in the back of a black Ranger Rover that had crashed into a white van near Parsons Boulevard and Franklin Avenue about 4:15 p.m., police confirmed.

The Range Rover had been speeding up Parsons Boulevard when it hit the van at a red light, police said.

The Range Rover driver ran away and the 48-year-old lated died at Flushing Hospital, police said.

News 12 Bronx reported that the man was Myron Dukes, author of the book "JFK Assassination Eyewitness Speak Together."

Dukes’ family told the news outlet that they are “crushed by this senseless loss.” Letisia Dukes, the author’s cousin, told News 12 that she was alerted of Dukes' death on Thursday.
