Man Who Threw Rock At Queens Synagogue Visitor Arrested: NYPD

Kenneth​ Azogue, from Bushwick, was charged with hate crime assault after he threw a rock at a man walking into the synagogue, police said.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A 21-year-old man from Brooklyn was arrested Thursday after he threw a rock at a 23-year-old man who was entering a synagogue in Kew Gardens Hills last week, the NYPD said.

Kenneth Azogue, from Bushwick, was charged with hate crime assault after he threw a rock at a 23-year-old walking into the synagogue located at 139-19 72nd Rd., near 141st Street, on May 6 around 9 a.m., authorities said.

Azogue was behind the wheel of a white Sprinter when he threw the rock and fled 72nd Road toward 139th Street, police said.

The 23-year-old man was not injured, authorities said.
