Man Impersonates Police, Robs $400 From Man In Elmhurst Bank: NYPD
Authorities are searching for the man who robbed $400 from a man who was depositing cash in a TD Bank in January.

QUEENS — A man robbed a 64-year-old of hundreds of dollars after he impersonated a police officer at a bank in Elmhurst in January, the NYPD said.
Authorities are searching for the man who robbed $400 from a man who was depositing cash in a TD Bank located at 78-01 Queens Boulevard on Jan. 26 about 3 a.m.
The robber was knocking on the bank vestibule, and when the 64-year-old tried to exit, the man outside blocked the door and pulled out a corkscrew, police said.

The robber told the man he was a police officer and threatened him to hand over cash, the NYPD said.
Police released images of the thief, who was last seen wearing a black and cream jacket, green sweatpants, a black wool hat and a white scarf, authorities said.
