A man was struck by a northbound M train after he fell on the tracks as the train entered the Seneca Avenue station, police said.

QUEENS — A man was struck by a train after falling on the subway tracks in a Ridgewood subway station on Sunday, police said.
A 22-year-old man was struck by a northbound M train after he fell on the tracks as the train entered the Seneca Avenue subway station about 10:30 p.m., the NYPD said.
The train operator was unable to stop the train on time, authorities said.

The man was able to climb back onto the platform after he was struck by the train, and was later taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition, police said.
The man was intoxicated when he fell on the tracks, the NYPD said.
