Man Wanted For Setting Dog On Fire In Queens
The NYPD Animal Cruelty Squad is investigating the incident.

QUEENS, NY — New York City police are searching for a man they say set a dog on fire in Queens.
According to NYPD Crimestoppers, the incident happened around 4:45 a.m. at the intersection of 128th Street and 116th Avenue in South Ozone Park.
Police said an unidentified man was seen dragging a motionless dog. He then poured an accelerant on the animal and set it on fire before fleeing the scene on foot, authorities said.

The dog's remains were turned over to the ASPCA, which is supporting the investigation by conducting a necropsy, a spokesperson confirmed. The NYPD Animal Cruelty Squad is also investigating.
Surveillance video images of the man show him wearing a maroon hooded sweatshirt with a "POLO" logo, gray pants and a light brown backpack.
