Hundreds Of LaGuardia, JFK Flights Canceled, Delayed

LaGuardia saw more than 175 flights delayed Friday morning as snow descended on New York City, according to FlightAware.

QUEENS, NY — More than 170 flights out of or to LaGuardia are canceled and another 300-plus were delayed Friday morning as southeast New York is under a winter weather advisory, according to flight tracking website FlightAware.

A handful of major airports across the country are reporting significant delays because of weather Friday, with LaGuardia just behind Chicago's O'Hare in terms of traveler "misery," FlightAware data shows.

JFK Airport fared slightly better, but still had 176 delays and 14 cancelations, the data shows.

Other United States airports experiencing mass cancelations include Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Arlington, Virginia, Newark Liberty Airport in New Jersey, and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Washington.

There are a total of 2,812 delays within, into, or out of the United States so far today, and 852 total cancelations, according to FlightAware.
