Mother Of Boy Found Alone At Queens Parking Lot Charged In NYC Home Invasion
The woman faces four counts of reckless endangerment of a child and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
QUEENS, NY — A mother has been charged after she broke into a home in Brooklyn and leaving her four children unattended, police said.
Leshea Harris, 30, was arrested after breaking into an apartment at 445 New Lots Avenue in Brooklyn around 9:10 p.m. on Monday.
Harris and Amariah George, 30, are accused of climbing through a window and pepper spraying a woman and punching her multiples times before stealing a bag of clothing, police said.

Both women were charged with robbery, aggravated criminal possession of a weapon, assault, criminal mischief and menacing, prosecutors said.
While in police custody, Harris's five-year-old son, who is non-verbal, was seen wandering around the parking lot of a Far Rockaway laundromat on Seagirt Boulevard.

Harris has also faces four counts of reckless endangerment of a child and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child after police found three other children ages 4, 6 and 10, and a 9-year-old girl unattended at an address where the 30-year-old was staying.
The children are now in the custody of the Administration for Children's Services.
