The child's mother is asking for help to pay funeral expenses.

ELMHURST, QUEENS — The mother of a 1-year-old who died after a truck hit her this month is asking for help to bury her daughter.

Fredrique Rowe and her baby Skylar Perkins were walking back to the Landing homeless shelter, where they lived, on March 23 when a Dodge truck hit the baby's stroller. The child was pronounced dead at Elmhurst General Hospital.

Natasha Doll, Rowe's friend, set up a GoFundMe campaign on Saturday to raise $15,00o for Skylar's funeral expenses.
