Motorcyclist Struck By Two SUVs, Dies In Queens Crash: NYPD

QUEENS, NY — A motorcyclist sailed over and into two SUVs during a fatal Queens crash near LaGuardia Airport, police said.

Chris Guachichulca, 26, of Shirley, Long Island, died after the Sunday crash at Ditmars Boulevard and 31st Avenue, authorities said.

Crash investigators believe Guachichulca was riding his 2013 Suzuki motorcycle south along Ditmas Boulevard about 6:25 p.m. when the driver of a BMW SUV tried to make a left turn onto 31st Avenue.

Guachichulca struck the SUV's passenger side and was ejected from the motorcycle, police said. He then struck the front of a Mazda SUV that drove north on Ditmars Boulevard, authorities said.

Police said Guachichulca suffered severe body trauma during the crash. Medics rushed him to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Queens, where doctors pronounced him dead, NYPD officials said.

The two SUV drivers were not injured and stayed at the crash scene, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
