Muggers Mace 15-Year-Old In Queens, Steal His Jacket: NYPD

The teen arranged to sell the jacket to a buyer he'd met online but was jumped by two men at the location they agreed to meet at, cops say.

MASPETH, QUEENS -- A 15-year-old boy hoping to sell his jacket for some extra cash was instead mugged, maced and left out in the cold in Queens, police said.

The teen had arranged to sell his jacket using LetGo - a social media app that allows users to buy and sell goods locally - and had agreed to meet the "buyer" for the sale on March 11 at the corner of Maspeth and Grand avenues, authorities said.

But when the boy arrived at their meeting place at 4 p.m., he instead found himself facing two muggers, who sprayed him in the face, snatched his jacket and fled, cops said.
