New Open Street Locations Arrive In Queens This Summer
The New York City Department of Transportation announced on Monday morning 3 additional Open Streets locations in Queens.

QUEENS — Bicycles, ice cream trucks, and sunblock bottles are sprouting once again with summer officially afoot. The warm weather also means Open Streets is back and slated to stay for the next few months.
The New York City Department of Transportation announced on Monday morning 35 additional Open Streets locations across the five boroughs.
Three of those spots are located in Queens. Two of the newly-added streets will be shut down to traffic during weekdays, while the other location will only close on Saturdays.

The community partners helping to run the streets are the Helen M. Marshall School, Hood Works Inc., and Thai Community USA NYC.
Here are the new Open Streets locations in Queens for the summer:

110th Street (Corona)
- From 34th Avenue to Northern Boulevard
- Closed to traffic Monday to Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Community Partner: Helen M. Marshall School
156th Street (Jamaica)
- From 108th Avenue to 107th Avenue
- Closed to traffic Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Community Partner: Hood Works Inc.
Union Hall Street (Jamaica)
- From 109th Avenue to 110th Avenue
- Closed to traffic Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Community Partner: Thai Community USA NYC
