NYC Airport Woes Linger After 4K Weekend Flights Delayed, Canceled
Travelers saw far fewer grounded planes Monday, but more than 100 flights were delayed at JFK Airport as the day started, data showed.
QUEENS, NY — Rainy weather created a soggy mess at New York City's airports this weekend as nearly 4,000 flights were delayed or canceled, according to flight tracker data.
The travel woes largely cleared up with the skies Monday morning, but FlightAware data showed frustrations likely lingered for many passengers.
JFK Airport had 138 flights delayed and 39 canceled as of Monday about 10:30 a.m., FlightAware showed.

LaGuardia fared better, as it showed 72 flight delays and 27 cancelations, according to FlightAware.
Newark had 63 delays and 19 cancelations as of Monday morning, FlightAware data showed.

Those numbers still pale behind all the delays and cancelations Saturday and, especially, Sunday, data shows.
Each of New York City's three airports had roughly 700 delays and cancelations Sunday, according to FlightAware.
