NYPD Lieutenant Charged With Drunk Driving After Crashing Into Car, Police Say

The off-duty officer was arrested after she crashed into another car.

RIDGEWOOD, QUEENS — An NYPD lieutenant was arrested in Ridgewood early Wednesday for driving while drunk, according to police.

The off-duty lieutenant, identified as Mary Kate Mullan, 44, was arrested around 12.40 a.m. after crashing into another car near Terrace Court and Admiral Avenue, an NYPD spokesman said.

She was charged with drunk driving and refusing to take a breathalyzer test, according to police.
