The new precinct will reduce NYPD response times to emergencies and other calls for service, increase visibility of police officers throughout Southeast Queens, and deepen relationships between the NYPD and the community, according to Adams.

"[ This] is the culmination of years of advocacy by Southeast Queens residents, business owners, and commuters. And it's a fulfillment of a promise this city made to improve service, increase public safety, and enhance everyone's quality of life here," NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said.
