Over 60 Restaurants, Retailers To Be Added At JFK Airport's Terminal 8
Small and local businesses can learn about the leasing opportunities at the airport in August.

QUEENS — More than 60 restaurants and retailers will open their doors at the John F. Kennedy Airport's Terminal 8, adding about 300 jobs to the recently-renovated area of the Queens airport.
The Port Authority and American Airlines announced the $125 million project Wednesday.
The project follows the $400 million expansion of Terminal 8 in December, currently hosting American Airlines and British Airways. The upgrades will add more dining, retail, duty-free shopping, performance space, and digitally enabled experiences for travelers.

“Visitors from around the world will get their first taste of what our region has to offer as soon as they step into JFK’s Terminal 8, which, like all of our new airport terminals, will feature a wide range of local dining and shops,” said Port Authority Chairman Kevin O’Toole. “Local businesses help us create a sense of place unique to the region.”
The joint venture leading the project launched a program to help small and local businesses with low-risk lease opportunities at the airport. The "Introduction to Airports Concessions Opportunities "will be held on Aug. 1.
