- Voters in New York are calling for Congressman George Santos to retire one month into being sworn in. The Republican Congressman is under heavy criticism due to his lack of serving promises made during his campaigning and the lack of action shown to serve the people. A poll was taken, and 80 percent of those who participated believe he should not be in office; even Republican voters who supported him are requesting his resignation. This week, Santos stepped down from two house committees due to the pressure; citizens are hoping he will step down from the position with the continued pressure. (NPR)
- Former Eastchester High School star athlete Alya Campbell sets a new personal best in the 60-meter hurdles, coming up just shy of the school record. Campbell competed this past Saturday at the Cupid Invitational at Tufts University, where she placed fifth in the hurdles final, running a time of 9.22 seconds. Running .28 seconds faster than her previous best and .01 seconds slower than the Brandis University record, Campbell hopes to break this record before the season ends.
