Person Fatally Struck By F Train In Jamaica Subway Station: Officials

A person was fatally struck by a train at the Parsons Boulevard station in Jamaica, according to the MTA and FDNY.

The incident made F trains halt service between Kew Gardens-Union Tpke and Jamaica-179 St in both directions on Monday afternoon.

QUEENS – A person was fatally struck by a train at the Parsons Boulevard station in Jamaica on Tuesday, officials said.

The FDNY received a report that a person was under a train at the station near Hillside Avenue about 1 p.m, a spokesperson told Patch.

Officials said the person was dead on arrival.

The emergency response spurred the MTA to halt F train service between Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike and Jamaica-179th Street in both directions, according to New York City Transit tweet.
