A man from Philadephia was arrested after police found a malnourished dog and her puppies during a car stop, police said.

QUEENS — A man from Philadephia was arrested after police found a malnourished dog and her puppies during a car stop in Middle Village, police said.
Ravon Service, 27, from Philadelphia, was arrested after officers found an emaciated dog and seven puppies in a container with no access to food, water, or space during a car stop between Furmanville Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard on Saturday about 4 p.m., the NYPD said.
The car stop was conducted after police heard a loud muffler, authorities said.

Service was arrested on torture, neglect of an impounded animal, and unreasonable noise charges, police said.
All seven puppies and their mother are currently in the care of an animal hospital, according to a tweet by the 104th Precinct.
