Officer Falls 20 Feet From Helicopter At Queens Police Academy: NYPD
The police officer was in training when he fell and fractured his leg, authorities said.
QUEENS – A police officer plummeted 20 feet from a helicopter during a training exercise in College Point Thursday, the NYPD said.
The officer fractured his leg after dropping from the chopper at the Police Academy on 28th Avenue and College Point Boulevard about 12:15 p.m., the NYPD said.
Medics rushed the cop to Jacobi Medical Center, according to police.
