Police Release Images Of Suspected Gunman Who Killed Woman At NYC Apartment

QUEENS, NY — Police have released surveillance images of a suspect who allegedly fatally shot a woman inside her home in Queens two weeks ago.

Deshanna Donovan, 21, was gunned down in her apartment building at 26-30 96th Street in East Elmhurst on Sept. 12.

The NYPD are probing whether the woman was killed by a former boyfriend.

In a press conference on Thursday, NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said from surveillance video it seemed that Donovan knew who the gunman was.

Kenny added that the 21-year-old woman tried to run frantically away that she actually "runs out of her own shoes."

Donovan was found dead in the building's basement, police said.

The suspect was caught on video in the Queens neighborhood before the shooting.

The man was last seen wearing a blue Under Armor hoodie.
