Police Search For Man Who Stole Purse From 85-Year-Old In Queens: NYPD

Officers are searching for Sidiky Gassama for pushing the woman who was using her walker to the ground at a parking garage, police said.

QUEENS — Police identified the man who stole a purse from an 85-year-old woman in a parking garage in Jackson Heights last month, the NYPD said.

Officers are searching for Sidiky Gassama, 32, for pushing the woman who was using her walker to the ground at the parking garage located at 74-10 35 Avenue, and then stealing her purse on Dec. 9, authorities said.

The man fled on foot and then entered the Jackson Heights - Roosevelt Avenue station, while the woman was treated for minor injuries, the NYPD said.

The purse contained credit cards and personal ID, police said.

Police released images of Gassama on Wednesday.
