Police Search For "Person of Interest" In Fatal Jamaica Shooting
The NYPD is searching for a man named a "person of interest" in the fatal shooting of a Jamaica man, police say.

JAMAICA, QUEENS -- The NYPD is searching for a man described as a "person of interest" in a shooting that left a Jamaica man dead, police said.
Chaz Morrison, 38, was fatally shot near his home in Jamaica on Nov. 4, Patch previously reported. Officers responding to a 911 call at around 1 a.m. found him lying unconscious on the ground near 178-10 146 Terrace with bullet wounds in his torso, police said. Morrison was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities are now trying to identify a man they say is a "person of interest" in connection with the murder. The man, estimated to be between 20 and 30 years old, was last seen wearing a blue hooded jacket and blue jeans, police said.

A GoFundMe page created by "52 Dreams" to collect donations for Morrison's funeral arrangements and expenses has so far collected $1,400. Creators of the account could not immediately be reached for comment.
Morrison leaves behind two sons - Kiyar, 17, and Ishante, 16 - who told Patch they were devastated by the death of their father. Kiyar said Morris was a good father who "really believed in me and my younger brother" and always made the the two feel special.

"My family will not stop until the shooter is finally found," Kiyar said. "Doesn't matter if it's 20 years from now."
