Woman, Man Beaten In Anti-Asian Attack In Jackson Heights: NYPD

The Hate Crimes Task Force is looking for the trio who hurled slurs, water and fists at a 44-year-old woman and 24-year-old man, cops said.

QUEENS — NYPD hate crime investigators are searching for the trio who hurled anti-Asian slurs, water and their fists at a woman and man in Jackson Heights, police said.

The woman, 44, and man, 24, were attacked near the corner of Junction Boulevard and Roosevelt Avenue on March 2 about 2:30 p.m., when a woman in a white Acura SUV began shouting slurs, authorities said.

The woman in the SUV threw water at the 44-year-old, then jumped out of the car with two men who began punching and kicking the pair in the head, police said.

The trio then jumped back in the SUV and fled, said police.

The injured pair were treated for injuries to the head at a nearby hospital, authorities said. The NYPD released images of the attackers on Saturday.
