Primark Clothing Store Opens In Jamaica

QUEENS – The clothing store Primark opened a new location in Jamaica on Thursday, premiering its 15th store in the country.

The Queens location, located at 162-10 Jamaica Ave, is the third Primark store to open in the city, joining those in King's Plaza Mall, Brooklyn, and Staten Island Mall, Staten Island.

Primark is slated to open another location at the City Point complex before Christmas.

The 34,000-square-foot store in Queens is located near the Jamaica Children’s School, where approximately 80 percent of the student population are from households at or below the poverty level, according to Primark.

The clothing retailer donated school materials to JCS’s classrooms, including new backpacks for each student and a $50 Primark gift card.

The new store on Jamaica Avenue is one of ten new stores that Primark is set to open in the next 12 months in the U.S. The retailer also plans to increase its stores to 60 from 15 by the end of 2026.
