QCP Launches “The QCP Players Theater Program” with Willy Wonka Kids

In partnership with AhHa!Broadway, QCP launches its first theater program since its existence.

Queens Centers for Progress is raising the curtain on our very first performance by the QCP Players- QCP's new Theater Program!

More than 100 participants from our Day Habilitation program are stepping into the spotlight and behind the scenes to bring Willy Wonka Kids to life. From acting, singing, and dancing to painting sets, designing costumes, greeting guests, and selling sweet treats, every part of this candy-colored production is being brought to life by QCP participants.

Thanks to an exciting partnership with AhHa!Broadway, a nonprofit that champions inclusive arts, participants have spent 12 weeks working alongside professional Teaching Artists and a full design team—learning, laughing, and building a show from the ground up.
