Queens Center In Elmhurst To Host Lunar New Year Event
Queens Center, located at 90-15 Queens Blvd, will host a Lunar New Year event showcasing a mural from the Queens Museum.
QUEENS — Lunar New Year, celebrated by billions around the world, will be honored in Queens in an official event at a mall in Elmhurst.
Queens Center, located at 90-15 Queens Blvd, will host a Lunar New Year event showcasing a mural from the Queens Museum on Saturday, Jan. 21.
The two-hour event will start at 1 p.m. at the Center Court on the second floor of the mall.

The mural, by the artist Pauline Shaw, uses imagery from paper cutouts found in Chinese folk art and ancient Chinese wall tapestries currently in museum collections across the United States.
The event will also have performances by Korean and Chinese dance groups.

Children can also participate in arts and crafts activities inspired by the Year of the Rabbit.
The event will finish with a presentation of the Cultural New Year Runway Show.
