Queens Centers for Progress Presents the “Evening of Fine Food"

Event Celebrates "Chefs of the Year" Dr. Sharon B. DeVivo, EdD (Vaughn College), and Uzoamaka N. Okoyem (The New Terminal One)

JAMAICA, NEW YORK – Known for its vibrant blend of cultures, Queens offers a culinary landscape as diverse as its people. And on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 the flavors of the borough will again come alive at the Queens Centers for Progress’ 29th annual “Evening of Fine Food,” an event that celebrates community through cuisine and camaraderie.

More than 700 people are expected to come together at Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park to sample dishes from some of Queens' finest restaurants and drink purveyors, as well as to support QCP’s mission.

Both longtime participants and newcomers alike are expected to sign up for what promises to be another signature dynamic event, complete with food and drink from the finest restaurants and beverage purveyors in the area, networking opportunities, and so much more.

“Our Evening of Fine Food brings together the heart and flavors of Queens, showcasing dishes that reflect our community's diversity,” said QCP Executive Director Terri Ross. “Beyond the delicious food, it’s inspiring to know that every ticket purchased directly supports our programs, helping individuals with developmental disabilities pursue fuller, more independent lives. We’re proud to bring people together for a meaningful cause that strengthens our borough.”
