Queens High Schools To Compete In Holiday Basketball Classic
Ballin 4 Peace will hold its second Holiday High School Classic at Springfield Gardens High School on Dec. 27 and Dec. 28.
QUEENS — An at-risk youth nonprofit will host a series of basketball tournaments this month in Springfield Gardens, joining schools from across the city to offer athletic outlets for inner-city youth.
Ballin 4 Peace will hold its second Holiday High School Classic at Springfield Gardens High School on Dec. 27 and Dec. 28 at 10 a.m. Boys and Girls Middle School and junior varsity games will take place on Tuesday, while varsity games are scheduled for Wednesday.
“Last year was a huge success for the communities that we serve because of the Holiday High School Classic. It meant a lot to see the gym full of families, friends, and people throughout Queens and New York who watched these kids all compete on the floor," said Ballin 4 Peace founder, Haron Hargrave.
